Central Coast Art Foundry was established in 1974 under the name Sun Foundry in Long Beach, California by Robert Oblon. Sun Foundry was sold in 1985. Since the sale of Sun Foundry, Robert has been involved in teaching sculpture and consulting on various projects, providing workshops for life casting, rubber mold making and bronze casting to artists and non-artists alike.

The new facility here at Central Coast Art Foundry is state of the art for metal casting and fabrication. We have over a hundred seventy-five years of combined experience with bronze casting, rubber mold making, life casting, metal smithing, jewelry casting in precious metals, engineering, tool and die making, fabrication and installation of sculpture.
