Mold making workshops:

 

 A 4 day workshop, taught over 2 consecutive weekends.

You will be taught how to develop and engineer a silicone rubber mold of your sculpture. The workshop will consist of how to lay out the mold, engineering the gating system, mixing and applying the rubber and creating a mother (back-up) mold. You will then have the oppertunity to pour your first wax pattern using the rubber mold.  Mold size will be limited  12 inchs. Larger molds will be additional.

Fee: $750.00 Including all materials and tools for making a silicone rubber mold. Limited enrollment to 10 students

 

Bronze Casting workshops:

 

An intensive 4 weekend workshop on how to cast bronze.

You will be taught how to develop a wax from your own rubber mold, attach a gating system. You will then be shown how to build the ceramic shell mold.

The third weekend the ceramic shell molds will be de-waxed and bronze will be cast into the shell molds. The final weekend will be spent finishing the bronze castings and applying a chemical patinas.

There will be discussions through out the workshop about the process, heli-arc welding, patinas, mounting sculpture on bases.

Fee: $ 950.00 Includes all materials for completing a small bronze sculpture.

This workshop is limited to 10 students.

 

Life casting workshop:

 

We will be offering 1 day and 2 day workshop.

The 1 day workshop will be limited to partial body parts, i.e. face, hands, feet, torso.

Fee: $350.00 Limited to 5 students

The 2 day workshops will concentrate of full body casting and will require you to have an assistant of your own. This workshop is for artists that have some prior experience with body casting using alginates.

Fee: $850.00 Includes materials. Limited to 5 students

Both workshops will include hydrocal castings developed from the alginate molds
